Kafka Summit London – 4 Key Take-Aways

Kafka Summit London 19^th& 20^th March 2024... It was a blast! Two inspiring days full of fascinating conversations, demos and explanations. And that brings us to Kannika’s four Key Take-Aways.

1. Thank God! 🙏 More and more companies adopt Event-Driven Architecture and see the value of data retention on their event hub platforms such as Kafka, Pulsar, ...
Fortunately for them, we have been fully engaged in the development of Kannika Armory over the past few years so that there is a good backup in case of disaster. 👌

2. Many companies have DIY mentality and are still running Open Source Kafka managed by themselves... But as EDA becomes an increasingly important weight within their company, they still notice the added value of MSP’s like Confluent or Redpanda Data. 🛠

3. Event hubs are slowly being seen as the central component. So IT departments are also realizing that setting up test environments are becoming a critical component for continued growth. And they want this translated as setting up non-production environments with good data.

4. People are triggered more by colorful sport socks by Sunday and bricks by the LEGO Group than by data sheets and attractive slogans. 🧦
